to find information on a specific issue:

Search International Organisations:
Type a part of an
organisation's name into the search-box at the top right of
the Organisations site, for example "Cancer" to search for the
"International Union against Cancer". You will see its
alternative names in different languages, the specific League
Handbook source and all information known about the
organisation. You can go further by using the links of persons
and places and discover their sites. The graphic at the bottom
of each organisation’s page reveals its complete networking
activities.

Search People:
Type a name into the search-box top right of
the Search People site, for example "Arthur Sweetser". You will
see short information on his biography, his positions in
international organisations and his residences. Specify your
search by using the categories on the right-hand side of the
screen.

Search for international activities in a certain city or
region: You can either navigate to places via the geographic
site or by manually choosing a place on the map You can go up
to the streets and house numbers.

Connection Search: mark two
people by clicking on the top right of their pages, for
example Armi Inkeri Hallstein-Kallia and Zoe Fairfield. Then
try "Connection Search" at the left-hand margin to discover if
there is a way to connect these two.

Tips if your search was not successful:
- ... try one keyword instead of a complete name.
- ... try alternative organisation names or keywords in French or English.
- ... if you search for French names, check the spelling (you need to include all word accents!)

Browse International Organisations, Persons, Places, Topics
The choice of subject areas has been made according to the
categories of the League of Nations Handbook of International
Organisations. See for example law. Use the categories on the
right-hand margin to specify your questions, for example
choose “female” to ask how many women were involved in the
League of Nations.

Discover international life through conditional tag clouds on
the right-hand margin of the pages. Find unexpected
international connections by combining different information:
for example, is there a relation between a person’s position
in an organisation and his/her place of residence? Can a
connection be found between the founding date of organisations
and the places where their congresses were held?
