To secure the co-ordination of research works in the sciences and their application, both at home and abroad, and the furtherance and encouragement of these works.
Activities
1. To become a member of the International Research Council, its affiliated societies, and other international councils, and to send representatives to their conferences. 2. Publication of scientific reports: 1. Report of the National Research Council of Japan. 2. Japanese journals of Astronomy and Geophysics, of Chemistry, of Physics, of Geology and Geography, of Botany, of Zoology, of Medical Sciences, of Engineering, and of Mathematics. 3. Records of Oceanographic Works in Japan. 4. Report of Radio Research in Japan.
