To act as a branch of the International Labour Office, which has world peace as its ideal, through betterment of social and labour conditions in all countries in order to realize social justice.
Activities
Works of the Headquarters at Geneva: 1. To prepare drafts for recommendations and treaties to be discussed at the international labour conferences. 2. To promote ratification and execution of treaties and recommendations thus adopted. 3. To conduct investigations into various questions relating to labour conditions, legislation, industrial hygiene, emigration, and unemployment. 4. To publish the results of the above inquiries. 5. Periodical organ: "Sekai no Rodo" (World's Labour).
