Object
To assist in every way the circulation of intellectual work produced by the peoples of the world, and to provide international circles with information on the beauties and the economic resources of the various countries.
(HB 1931)
Le Comité n'a aucun but commercial.
(HB 1936)
To assist in every way the circulation of intellectual work produced by the peoples of the world, and to provide international circles with information on the beauties and the economic resources of the various countries. The Committee will employ the cinematograph for this purpose. It is interested in any film having a scientific, social, economic, historical, artistic, literary or informative character, and likely by its diffusion to promote a better understanding by peoples of one another, and thus better relations between them. The Committee has no commercial aims.

(HB 1931)
(HB 1936)
: Each year the CIDALC meets to consider the Committee's activities. The CIDALC also awards two gold medals a year to films the diffusion of which is likely to contribute to the development of culture and international goodwill by a mutual understanding of human sentiments, and propagate ideas of peace, progress and fraternity, while eschewing anything of a subversive or definitely political character. The CIDALC publishes a monthly review Continents, the firstnumber of which is dated February 1st, 1937. This review welcomes contributions from all those interested in the cinematograph.
