Faciliter la propagande des idées rationalistes par une entente entre tous ceux qui croient nécessaire d'affranchir l'humanité des préjugés religieux et d'assurer la liberté de conscience. General facts

Le premier congrès eut lieu à Amsterdam en 1859. En 1880 eut lieu à Bruxelles le premier congrès international. Depuis ont lieu successivement des congrès à Londres 1881, à Paris 1882, Amsterdam 1883, Anvers 1885, Londres 1887, Paris 1889, Madrid 1892, Bruxelles 1895, Paris 1900, Genève 1902, Rome 1904, Paris 1905, Buenos-Ayres 1906, Prague 1907, Bruxelles 1910, Munich 1912, Lisbonne 1913, Prague 1920. HB 1925: Le dix-neuvième Congrès international eut lieu à Paris en 1925. The First Congress was held at Amsterdam in 1859. The First International Congress was held at Brussels in 1880. Since that date, eighteen congresses have been held in various capitals. The nineteenth International Congress took place at Paris in 1925, the twentieth at Antwerp in 1927. The next will take place in September 1929 at Luxemburg.
